Two key players from Kenny Brooks’ first Kentucky women’s basketball team are out — at least for now.

VK announced Monday night that incoming transfer guards Jordan Obi (Penn) and Dominika Paurová (Oregon State) will be sidelined indefinitely after sustaining lower leg injuries. No additional details are available at this time.

Obi, a 6-foot-1 graduate transfer, arrived in Lexington in June. She was Penn’s second-leading scorer during the 2023-24 season, averaging 14.8 points and a team-leading 7.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game. A 2024 first-team All-Ivy League and 2024 Academic All-Ivy selection, Obi surpassed 1,000 career points in 2023-24. She is one of three players on the Wildcats’ 2024-25 roster to surpass the milestone during their collegiate careers, joining transfer guards Georgia Amoore (Virginia Tech) and Dazia Lawrence (Charlotte).
