UFC CEO Dana White has announced that he will no longer be swayed by fighters’ requests to increase performance bonuses for a fight card. The decision follows UFC 304, where White agreed to double performance bonuses from $50,000 to $100,000.

Despite this increase, seven consecutive fights were put before the judges, leading White to question whether higher bonuses were effective in encouraging more exciting performances.

White expressed frustration with the disappointing results following the bonus increase, stating that it did not inspire fighters to fight more excitingly. He made it clear that he believes the bonus increase did not have the desired effect and that he is not prepared to repeat the process in the future. White’s comments reflect his disappointment with the results despite the financial incentives that were offered.

In his post-fight comments, White was blunt about his decision. He stressed that increasing the bonus amounts did not result in a noticeable improvement in the fighters’ performance or urgency. He criticized the fighters for not taking full advantage of the opportunity to secure the higher bonuses, suggesting that the extra money did not result in more aggressive or entertaining fights.

White concluded by making a firm statement that he would not honor future requests for increased bonuses at press conferences. He expressed his displeasure with the outcome of UFC 304 and made it clear that he will not adjust the bonus structure based on fighter professions, regardless of future circumstances.
