Mohsin Naqvi, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), will take over the chairmanship of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).

Naqvi’s two-year tenure begins in January 2025, a pivotal moment for Pakistan’s influence on regional cricket governance.

The ACC President is appointed on a rotation policy between member states. The current Executive Board President, Jay Shah, was granted a one-year extension in January 2024.

In addition to the role of PCB Chairman, he is also the Minister of Interior of Pakistan. He will be handling three important portfolios with his upcoming chairmanship at the ACC.

A formal announcement confirming Naqvi’s presidency is expected to be made at the next ACC meeting in October-November.
