WWE Fan Buys Val Venis Trademark, Uses It for LGBTQ+ Support

Recently, a WWE fan purchased the Val Venis trademark to support the LGBTQ+ community. The Val Venis website, called The Valued Allies of LBGTQ+ Vital Educational and Non-Judgemental Informational Services, was launched on social media. The acronym is VAL VENIS.

Former WWE wrestler Tyler Reks, who now goes by Gabbi Tuft, came out in support of the Val Venis Foundation and asked the founder to make stickers. She also added that AEW star Nyla Rose, who is a trans woman, would likely buy them.

Christian Cage is another notable wrestler who tweeted promoting the Val Venis stickers, which cost $4 each. He added that the profits from them would be donated to the welfare of the LGBTQ+ community.

The possible reason for choosing the name Val Venis

After leaving WWE, former wrestler Val Venis has not been much of a presence in the squared circle. However, he has been criticized by the wrestling community for his homophobic views and comments. On his social media, he frequently mocks trans and gay people.

His homophobic hatred recently escalated to the point where he cancelled new bookings due to the influence of the LGBTQ+ community. The former Intercontinental Champion noted on Facebook:

“Hey wrestling fans. Just a heads up. I’m going to be finishing up my commitments for my next 2 shows (I won’t say when or where until the day of because the LGBTQ+++XYZ crazies like to threaten promoters who book me). As of today, I will not be taking any more public bookings for the foreseeable future.”

Venis added that he was frustrated that his booking was cancelled because of his political views, which are aligned with right-wing politics.

Val Venis’ WWE Career

Val Venis was an intriguing character who defined WWE’s Attitude Era product. He played the gimmick of an adult star who courted women every week. He was part of several risque segments during the Attitude Era that would not be considered appropriate in today’s PG Era.

In addition to Val Venis, he has played other characters. He was once a member of the stable Right to Censor, while in 2002 he played a gimmick called The Big Valbowski. He was essentially a mid-card star throughout his career, spending eleven years in WWE from 1998 to 2009.

During his ten-year career with the Stamford-based organization, Val Venis won both the European and World Tag Team Championships, as well as the International Championship twice.
