Paddy Pimblett Posts Comment on UFC 304 Main Event, Belal Muhammad Becomes Champion

A video on Paddy Pimblett’s YouTube channel gives fight fans a behind-the-scenes look at his fight night last weekend.

“The Baddy” delivered one of the best performances of the night at UFC 304 in Manchester when he defeated King Green in the first round to earn a lightweight ranking.

However, the main event did not end on such a positive note for the British fighters and fans, as Belal Muhammad defeated Leon Edwards to become welterweight champion.

In the video, Pimblett is seen reacting to the official decision, after which he describes Muhammad as the “most boring champion ever.”

Turki Alalshikh Not Worried About Saudi-Backed UFC 306 Against Canelo Álvarez

It’s rare that a major sporting event takes on the UFC, but that’s exactly what Canelo Álvarez plans to do on September 14 with his fight against Edgar Berlanga.

Alvarez has a reputation as a Mexican Independence Day fighter, but he was forced to miss last year’s bout after the UFC booked the T-Mobile Arena for the inaugural Noche UFC card.

The MMA leader will instead host UFC 306 at the Sphere this year, an event that is shaping up to be an event like no other.

Part of the reason the two Las Vegas events are competing so closely is because UFC 306 is sponsored by Riyadh Season and the Saudi Arabian General Entertainment Authority. This has given the UFC permission to go big with the event. That means Álvarez could be running T-Mobile this time around.

Speaking to ESPN, Turki Alalshikh gave a brief answer when asked how he thinks the Saudi-backed Sphere event will compete with Álvarez.

Chael Sonnen Says Tom Aspinall Is Doing Something Even Mike Tyson Had Trouble With

Tom Aspinall’s incredible ability to finish fights early means he has incredibly little Octagon time despite being a world champion.

The interim heavyweight champion himself has said he wants opponents to test him in deeper waters, but no one can take him there.

Following his one-minute victory over Curtis Blaydes last weekend, Chael Sonnen was full of praise for the Brit in a recent YouTube video.

He compared Aspinall to perhaps the greatest knockout artist combat has ever seen and said he is even capable of finishing fights in a way that Mike Tyson could not.

“Mike Tyson had a hard time taking down the heavyweights at 240, 250, 260 (pounds). These are the guys that Tom can touch in one go; this is shocking power. Tom can take guys out of here so fast. I don’t like the reality that Tom’s only been in the ring for three minutes in three years, but the other side of the story is: What are you going to do? How are you going to stop him?”
