Below you will find an overview of the most important data from 2022 to 2024:

⚡ 2022: LN’s share of Bitcoin payments on CoinGate started at 6.5%. By the end of the year, we processed 26,622 BTC orders through LN.

⚡ 2023: LN’s share nearly doubled, starting at 6.9% in January and reaching 11.8% in December. Order growth was up 35.9% year-over-year.

⚡ 2024: This year, LN’s share increased further to 14.5%. From Q1 to Q2 2024 alone, we saw a 33.6% increase in orders.

These trends highlight that LN is becoming an increasingly popular choice for BTC payments, thanks to its lower transaction fees and near-instant payment processing.
