Description: Syncovery is a great application used to backup data and synchronize PCs, servers, and notebooks. Users can choose the user interface that suits them best: Wizard Mode or Advanced Mode. Settings are saved in multiple profiles, and the software comes with support for FTP and secure FTP servers, SSH, WebDAV, Amazon S3, http, partial file updates, ZIP compression, data encryption, and a scheduler for automatic backups. · Smart and flexible. If some files cannot be copied because other software has access to them, the synchronizer will continue copying the remaining files and then retry all files that were locked, until all files are successfully copied. A limit can be specified for the time spent on retries. However, during the retries phase, the synchronizer uses only minimal CPU resources.
· Keep multiple backup versions of each file (optional) This feature does not overwrite the backup files, but renames them until a selectable number of different backup versions is reached. You can also specify where to place these older backup versions (in the same folder as the original, or in a subfolder of it, or in just one subfolder for the entire profile).
· Database-Aware. A special technique prevents data corruption when copying database files, including SQL Server database files. The synchronizer waits to copy until it has full exclusive access to the file. During the copy, the database server cannot work with the file. A prerequisite for using this software as a backup tool for database files is that they are not used occasionally (for example, at night).
· Can use Recycle Bin for older versions of files that are overwritten. This is a rather unique feature because most programs permanently replace older versions of a file. With Super Flexible File Synchronizer you have the chance to recover overwritten files if you select the right options.
· Multiple file masks (inclusion and exclusion) File masks are processed transparently (and quickly!). Even if you specify redundant file masks, there will be no strange side effects.
· Select base folder items. Only want to sync a few folders? No need for separate runs for each folder. Simply specify the base folder that contains these folders, then choose “Only selected items from base folders…”.
· Minimize load by using legacy file folders. Occasionally moving legacy files to a designated folder usually causes problems with traditional file sync programs. They copy the legacy files back from your laptop to the folders you moved them from. No more! If you use the Select Home Folder Items option described above, you can place a gray check mark next to each folder for legacy files. These folders will then be included when moving files to them, but not when copying files out. This way, the sync program moves legacy files on your laptop the same way it did on your PC, but it doesn’t waste time copying all the legacy files between the two machines.
· No more Daylight Savings Time issues Since exact 1-hour time differences can be ignored if the file sizes match, you will no longer have problems if the file systems of two computers are off by an hour. If this only applies to some files, fine! Ignoring the offset is done in a flexible way instead of adding a fixed number to the hours on one side.
· Easy resume when disk is full. Just make more space and ask the software to continue copying. It can pause in the middle of a file until extra space is freed up.
· Unattended Mode. In this mode, no questions are asked. You can specify in advance which types of files may be overwritten.
· Optionally create exact mirrors. If desired, you can optionally create an exact mirror of your data, even if this means deleting some files or replacing them with older files.
