“A 23-year-old Brazilian woman was arrested after 43-year-old Minnesota businessman D’wayne Antonio Morris was killed in a suspected drug-related robbery in Brazil this month.

Letícia Clara Bento da Silva, 23, was identified by Brazilian police as the main suspect in the so-called ‘Goodnight Cinderella’ plot.

On August 8, Minneapolis resident D’wayne Antonio Morris was found dead in his rented apartment in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, local outlet g1 reported. The 43-year-old had arrived in the country just a day before his death.

It is believed Morris was drugged, causing him to convulse and foam at the mouth. Da Silva and another unidentified woman have been accused of drugging Morris with GHB, a powerful depressant. They then robbed him and fled the apartment.

In Brazil, drug robberies in which victims are paralyzed or sedated by GHB, Rohypnol or another substance are called “Goodnight Cinderella” schemes. In large doses, GHB can cause unconsciousness and respiratory depression, which can kill the victim.

It is believed that da Silva and the other woman met Morris and a friend while they were in the Lapa neighborhood. The four of them allegedly drank at a bar and then planned to go back to Morris’ apartment. While Morris’ friend felt dizzy and decided to go to another location, Morris and the two women arrived at his apartment after midnight.

Surveillance cameras captured the two women leaving the building and getting into a black car about two hours later. Da Silva is also reportedly a suspect in several other drug-related robberies.
