COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The Roosters on the north side of the Ohio State University campus will be closed for the rest of the year.

The Wings restaurant, located at 3370 Olentangy River Road, has been temporarily closed since a fire broke out on July 3. In a Facebook post Friday, the restaurant said the fire caused more damage than initially thought.

“Unfortunately, the fire that broke out caused much more damage than we originally thought,” the message said. “We regret to say that we do not expect to be able to reopen for the rest of the year.”

The Roosters is located on the same stretch of Olentangy River Road as the Shiermeier Olentangy River Wetland Research Park and just north of many of The Ohio State University athletic fields.
