OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – It’s a struggle to cool down as we head into the morning hours as most of us wake up to temperatures in the 70s. It’s shaping up to be another hot and humid day with temperatures topping out at over 90 degrees and heat index readings in the 105-110 range. This is the second and final day of this 2-day heat wave.

The dew point may be a little lower on the humidity meter today, but overall it will still be warm and humid.

There are a few showers and a few storms possible Tuesday morning and afternoon, with more cloud cover overall. That should keep us closer to 90 degrees for the high. I don’t expect widespread rain on the map and the severe threat is also low.

A round of rain and storms looks increasingly likely Thursday afternoon and evening, which should put an end to this round of 90s. The severe threat doesn’t look great at this point, but storms could be widespread.

It looks like it will be warm, but not generally hot and humid for that first Husker game in Lincoln. In the upper 80s, it could get a little warm on the concrete of Memorial Stadium, so make sure you stay hydrated out there.
