Rain tonight for the Front Range, clearing at night

Sunday afternoon it was a maximum of 32 degrees Celsius. At DIA it was officially 34 degrees Celsius.

Tonight, scattered showers and thunderstorms will move through the metro area. We do not expect heavy storms, but there is still a chance of heavy rain and lightning.

We will see drier weather as the weather pattern changes. On Tuesday, a change in wind patterns will bring drier air. This means we will have mostly clear skies and warm temperatures similar to Monday. Expect highs in the mid to upper 80s across the eastern plains and in the low 60s to 70s across the higher elevations.

Wednesday will be slightly warmer, but still dry. A cold front is expected to arrive on Thursday, bringing temperatures down by 8-10 degrees, making it cooler than earlier in the week. The dry weather should continue through Saturday.

Looking further ahead, the general trend suggests that warm and dry conditions will continue into next weekend. With a high pressure system likely to dominate, you can expect pleasant weather with temperatures that feel comfortable and no major storm systems in sight. This should make for a great end to the week, with plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures.
