Bay watch alum Nicole Eggert is in a panicked stage of her ongoing battle with breast cancer.

Eggert, 52, was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer in January. She recently revealed on Instagram that she had responded “completely and completely” to treatment.

“It’s really weird because that’s what makes the journey so difficult: that it was fantastic at the time, but now the waiting time for the next step is very panicky,” Eggert told exclusively We weekly at the premiere on Monday, August 26 After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun. “I think (the cancer) is back. In your head you’re like, ‘Oh my god. What did I just feel?'”

She continued: “It’s such a grey area that no one really understands. That waiting and that unknown is really the real test.”

Eggert produced After Baywatch, a documentary about the popularity of the iconic beach show during her treatment.

“(Working on After Baywatch) actually helped me a lot because it gave me something else to think about because you can get caught up in thinking about your health,” she said. Us on Monday. “So my 13-year-old and this (documentary) kept me on the edge of my seat.”

Eggert, who rose to fame as Summer Quinn in Bay watch, is the mother of daughters Dilyn, 26, and Keegan, 13. The actress previously said Us that Dilyn and Keegan had been her ‘rocks’ during her battle with cancer.

“They’ve been so great through all of this, because it’s weird,” Eggert said Us in March. “For Keegan, I was worried that she might be embarrassed that her mom is bald (and that) her mom really stands out, but she’s not at all. She’s proud.”

She then added, “They’re right by my side. They give me the most grace and check in on me constantly and ask me how I’m doing and we really love each other very much.”

While Dilyn and Keegan are proud of the way their mother is dealing with her health issues, Eggert is equally proud of her legacy on Bay watch and the new documentary.

“It’s exciting to see everyone energized about it and it’s been so well-received. It’s really fun,” she enthused Monday, adding that she set up the project to give the rest of the cast their flowers. “I think a lot of people see actors and think their lives have just been rosy. And then they’re like, ‘Oh, how could you feel sorry for that beautiful person who was on a TV show?’ But life has twists and turns … and I think it’s just really nice to acknowledge all of that and celebrate it with people in their real journey.”

For Eggert, the “most important lesson” she learned from the series is that “you can’t run away from things.”

“They don’t disappear,” she said Us at the premiere. “If you run away — I’ve tried to run away and it doesn’t work. Sometimes you have to deal with it, and you have to roll with the punches.”
