Reddit is currently down, sending users who normally visit the popular social media site to other platforms to share memes, watch the news and ask AITA questions.

According to IGN’s sister site Downdetector, the outage began around 1 p.m. PT / 4 p.m. ET. Users attempting to visit the site are seeing error messages or messages saying that the community they’re trying to access doesn’t exist.

In a post on X/Twitter, Reddit said it was “investigating this issue.”

Confused users quickly moved to other platforms to see if others were experiencing the same issues. It wasn’t long before various jokes and image memes started appearing.

“I don’t like that I’ve become the type of person who notices when Reddit is down. What have I become,” joked one X/Twitter user. I happened to notice the outage during my lunch break when I went to check the latest West Ham news on the r/hammers subreddit. Alas!

There is no timeline for when service will be restored to Reddit, so please wait and see. We’ll post more updates on IGN as we have them.
