BISMARCK, ND (KFYR) – A confirmed tornado last night between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. near Steele derailed between 20 and 50 BNSF rail cars. The cars were empty at the time.

No injuries were reported. Cleanup began around 1 a.m. There is no timeline for when cleanup will be completed.
