See What Happened When Simone Biles and Caitlin Clark Met After Clark Made WNBA History

This is really a star.

Olympic gymnastics legend Simone Biles and Olympic gold medalist Gabby Thomas met up with sensational Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark and her teammates after the Fever defeated the Connecticut Sun 84-80 on Aug. 28 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

“The team was thrilled to meet Simone Biles and Gabby Thomas after our win over @GainbridgeFH. The reactions,” Fever captioned a video posted to X, along with crying, laughing, and raised hands emojis.

In the clip, Clark says hello to Biles and Thomas in the tunnel after the game before posing for photos. Biles and Thomas then take pictures with several other players from the team.

“They were so excited. Oh my god. It’s like the guys just walk by and say, ‘Yo.’ But they were so excited. That was so cool,” Biles told the camera afterward.

Clark also responded to the meeting.

“Let me fangirl real quick,” she captioned a clip of her meeting with Biles and Thomas on her Instagram Story.

Biles and Thomas chose a close game to attend. Clark had a memorable showing, scoring 19 points, including three 3-pointers, to set the WNBA rookie record for 3s made with 88 on the season.

It was Biles’ first time playing in a WNBA game, but it won’t be the last.

“EVERYONE IS WATCHING WOMEN’S SPORTS so I’m excited to go support! My first of many WNBA games,” she wrote while reposting the video from Fever.

“First WNBA game of many! Had so much fun supporting these stars,” Thomas wrote on Twitter.

Biles came to the competition on the heels of a triumphant performance at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, where she won three gold medals — including one in the all-around — and a silver medal, giving her a total of 11 medals in her Olympic career and making her the most decorated U.S. Olympic gymnast of all time.

She is also keeping quiet about the possibility of competing in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

“You know, you never say never. The next Olympics are on home turf. So you never know,” she told TODAY earlier this month. “I’m just going to relax and see where life takes me.”

Thomas also won three gold medals in Paris and has already said she is preparing for the 2028 Summer Olympics.

“I’m going to go home, enjoy some time off in Austin, Texas, with my dog, with my friends. And then maybe plan a little vacation before we go back to work,” she told TODAY on August 13.
