    Where’s ‘College GameDay’ This Week? What You Need to Know for Week 1

    ESPN’s “College GameDay” returns to the Lone Star State for a Week 1 Top 25 matchup between No. 7 Notre Dame and No. 20 Texas A&M.

    College football’s premier pregame show featuring Rece Davis, recently appointed commit and former Alabama coach Nick Saban, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Pat McAfee and Desmond Howard will be on the campus of Texas A&M in College Station, Texas on Saturday for the non-conference Week 1 game.

    The Fighting Irish and Aggies’ Week 1 matchup will mark the first time the two programs have faced off on the field since 2001. In that game, Texas A&M defended its home base at Kyle Field and emerged with a 24-3 victory over Notre Dame.

    Where is ‘College GameDay’ held in week 1?

    “College GameDay” takes place in Week 1 in College Station, Texas, for No. 7 Notre Dame against No. 20 Texas A&M. ESPN chose the Aggies and Fighting Irish’s under-the-lights showdown over No. 1 Georgia against No. 14 Clemson in Atlanta at Mercedes Benz Stadium.

    The Week 1 trip to College Station marks the seventh time that Texas A&M will host “College GameDay” and the first since 2018 when the Aggies hosted then-No. 2 Clemson. It also marks the 10th time the Aggies have appeared on “College GameDay” and the first since Nov. 13, 2021 when Texas A&M played at Ole Miss.

    As for Notre Dame, this will be the 37th time the Fighting Irish have appeared on “College GameDay” — which ranks sixth among all-time college programs for “GameDay” appearances. The Fighting Irish made two “College GameDay” appearances last season.
