Caitlin Clark just wrapped up the WNBA Rookie of the Year discussion.

The Indiana Fever star turned in a stellar performance on Sunday, scoring 28 points and 12 assists in her team’s 100-91 win over the Dallas Wings.

Clark’s 5-of-11 three-pointers kept the Wings on their heels throughout the game, but she also had some big shots.

Her teammate, Kelsey Mitchell, was also on fire from the floor, finishing with a career-high 36 points on 5-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc, spoiling a stellar performance from Arike Ogunbowale, who had 34 points and eight rebounds.

But Clark was once again the story in what is shaping up to be one of the best rookie seasons in WNBA history:

Sunday’s performance was her sixth game with at least 20 points and 10 assists, a WNBA single-season record. And she’s not coming from a cellar-dweller: The Fever are now 17-16 on the season, currently sixth in the league and in prime position to secure a playoff spot.

We’re past the point of discussing Clark as a rookie. She’s already one of the best players in the WNBA, period.

No, she’s not perfect. She had another seven turnovers on Sunday, a continuing problem. But Clark came into the WNBA with unprecedented hype and she’s more than lived up to it.
