No one could stop A’ja Wilson on Sunday as the Las Vegas Aces defeated the Phoenix Mercury 97-79.

The Aces star put up video game-like numbers, with 41 points and 17 rebounds. She scored 23 points and 11 rebounds in the first half and never looked back as she continued to torch the Mercury in the second half.

After her dominant performance, fans praised her for her impressive stats.

Wilson has been on a roll all season, but especially in her last few games, when she’s scored 42, 26 and 41 points, respectively. Wilson has 10 games with 30 or more points this season, and she also made history on Sunday, passing Tina Charles for most games with 30-plus points and 10-plus rebounds in a season with seven.

Wilson’s performance made her the only player besides Candace Parker to score 40 points and 15 rebounds in a single game.

Wilson’s play this season has made her a heavy favorite to win her third MVP award, averaging 27 points, 11.8 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 1.9 steals per game. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see her win another Defensive Player of the Year award, either.

If she can continue to put in performances like Sunday’s, she can further strengthen her case for MVP.
