ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – The country celebrates the unofficial end of summer today with Labor Day.

While people celebrate the holiday with barbecues or a day at the beach, some places that are normally open on Monday will be closed for the holiday.

Many places are open, but don’t go to your local bank. You won’t get any mail today.

The U.S. Postal Service will be closed, as will all federal, state, and local government offices. All public schools are closed, and all banks, credit unions, and other banking institutions will also be closed.

When you put out your trash, please note that collection times will likely shift one day this week.

If you need anything for your barbecue, Walmart, Target, Publix, Kroger, Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods Market are open.

Costco is closed and Aldi has limited hours.
