Packers Jordan Love to undergo MRI upon return, ankle injury ruled out

play

GREEN BAY – The Green Bay Packers have ruled out an ankle injury for Jordan Love. He will undergo an MRI on his injured leg when the team returns from its trip to Brazil, according to Dianna Russini of The Athletic.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero also reported that initial tests on Love’s knee showed the anterior cruciate ligament was intact.

Love suffered the injury late in the Packers’ 34-29 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in São Paulo, Brazil, on Friday night when his leg twisted as he tried to escape the grasp of several Eagles defenders. He writhed in pain and remained on the field for several minutes before needing help to take the weight off his leg.

After the game, PackersNews reporter Tom Silverstein reported that Love was limping again in the locker room and that his teammates who watched the game thought he had injured his knee.
