    Sunday is the first full weekend of the National Football League regular season. To get into all the games, you’ll need the NFL Sunday Ticket package. You can also save some money.

    The NFL season has officially begun and it’s almost time for the first Sunday of the regular season to kick off. But wait, you don’t have an NFL Sunday Ticket yet. Here’s how.

    Why is NFL Sunday Ticket such a big deal for die-hard NFL fans and fantasy football players? Because the programming package lets you watch every out-of-market NFL game being played, in addition to the games airing on your local CBS, Fox, and NBC stations.

    This Sunday, a dozen NFL games are scheduled to air on CBS and Fox, with start times between 1:00 p.m. ET and 4:25 p.m. ET.

    Before the 2023-24 NFL regular season, the NFL Sunday Ticket package was provided by satellite service DirecTV. But in December 2022, Google won the rights to the package, paying about $2 billion a year for seven years, according to The Wall Street Journal.

    Here’s what you need to know about getting the NFL Sunday Ticket package and some remaining discounts that can save you money this football season.

    NFL Sunday Ticket Price Guide

    You still have some options if you want to snag an NFL Sunday Ticket. Google is using the NFL season kickoff to drive new subscribers to its YouTube TV streaming service, which has more than 100 channels including local ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC and PBS networks. You can save extra if you bundle the two services:

    • NFL Sunday Ticket with YouTube TV: The price for NFL Sunday Ticket and a YouTube TV subscription is currently four payments of $167.74 per month, for a total of $670.96 (a $100 savings if you buy each separately). After those four months, you’ll pay $72.99 per month for the basic YouTube TV subscription. For $10.99 per month ($43.96 for the season), you can also add the NFL RedZone channel, hosted by Scott Hanson, which follows big plays during Sunday games live for seven hours and can show up to eight games at a time via the famous “Octobox.”
    • NFL Sunday Ticket without YouTube TV: The price to watch NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube is four payments of $119.75, a total of $479 for the season. You can also add NFL RedZone for $10.99 per month.

    Other NFL Sunday Ticket Deals

    • Free NFL Sunday Ticket Deals and Discounts from Verizon: New mobile customers and existing subscribers who upgrade to certain subscriptions can get NFL Sunday Ticket for free (deal ends Wednesday, September 11). Also: Current customers can save $100 on NFL Sunday Ticket or NFL Sunday Ticket with NFL RedZone, bringing the season price to $349 or $389.
    • Three-week free trial of FanDuel: New users who wager $5 on FanDuel will get a free three-week trial of NFL Sunday Ticket from YouTube and YouTube TV (offer valid through September 22; once you place your bet, you’ll receive a promo code to use on YouTube for the next three weeks). After your trial ends, you’ll automatically be charged the full price of NFL Sunday Ticket seasonally unless you cancel. And new FanDuel customers who place their first $5 bet will also get $200 in bonus bets.

    The RedZone channel, hosted by Scott Hanson, will follow Sunday’s key matches live for seven hours and can broadcast up to 8 matches simultaneously via the famous “Octobox”.

    How do you get the NFL Sunday Ticket student discount?

    Students attending colleges or universities can subscribe to NFL Sunday Ticket for $199, a savings of $280 from the regular price of $479. For $10, they can also add NFL RedZone.

    To get the NFL Sunday Ticket student discount, students can sign up on the YouTube site. YouTube recommends using a personal email address to set up NFL Sunday Ticket (you’ll watch through the NFL page on YouTube), as some university networks restrict .edu accounts.

    Students can then choose to subscribe to NFL Sunday Ticket ($199) or NFL Sunday Ticket with NFL RedZone ($209). They will then verify their student status and provide a payment method.
