Miami-Dade police released bodycam footage Monday of the incident involving Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Miami-Dade Police Director Stephane V. Daniels said more than an hour of footage would be released as part of a commitment to transparency. An investigation into the incident was ongoing and an officer involved in the situation was placed on “administrative duties.”

The footage begins with officers pulling up next to Hill’s vehicle and telling him he was speeding. Hill asked how fast he was going, but was told to pull over.

The officer knocked on the window and Hill told the officer not to knock on his window as he handed him his license. Hill then told the officer to give him his ticket and rolled the window back up. The officer demanded that Hill keep his window down.

“Keep your window down or I’ll get you out of the car. In fact, get out of the car,” the officer said.

A second officer threatened to break the window.

“We’re not playing this game,” another officer said as the bodycam showed one of the officers opening the door, reaching into Hill’s car and, with the help of a third officer, pulling him out of the car.

“Hey Drew, I’m under arrest Drew,” Hill was heard saying, apparently talking to his officer Drew Rosenhaus.

One officer said, “When we tell you to do something, you do it. Not what you want to do. But when we tell you. You’re a little f—ing confused.

“Take me to jail, man. Do what you have to do,” Hill replied as he lay on the ground.

A bystander in a separate vehicle at the incident appeared to ask what was wrong with Hill. The wide receiver replied, “I didn’t do anything.”

Officers escorted Hill to a seated position on the curb next to his vehicle. Hill told them he had undergone surgery on his knee when he went downstairs and an officer asked if he had had surgery on his ears.

Another officer on the scene asked the officer whose bodycam footage had been released if he knew who the man on the ground was. The officer on the bodycam said he didn’t know who he was and the other officer responded, “That’s one of the Dolphins’ star players.”

The officer with the bodycam explained to a superior what had happened. In the background, Hill yelled, “I’m just a black man, that’s all.”

Hill was given a traffic ticket and left in the passenger seat of his car, along with his officer Drew Rosenhaus.

Dolphins defenseman Calais Campbell walked toward the scene with his hands up about four minutes into the footage. He was ordered to back away or he, too, would be handcuffed. Campbell said he wanted to know what had happened.

Campbell was later handcuffed.

The officer who approached Campbell also approached Jonnu Smith, who was also pulled over to make sure he was okay. The officer demanded Smith’s driver’s license.
