A massive rift within former President Donald Trump’s inner circle exploded into the open on Wednesday night, reveal the tensions running high within MAGAworld following their candidate’s debate debacle.

Two of Trump’s most trusted allies clashed in a spectacular and public spat after it emerged that far-right commentator Laura Loomer had accompanied Trump to the debate in a private jet.

Axios reported Thursday that Loomer had “urged” him during the flight after his other advisers urged caution and tried to convince Trump to limit his messages to key voter concerns like the economy, rather than rehashing old grievances and sharing easily debunked conspiracy theories like Haitian immigrants eating people’s pets.

Trump seemed to take Loomer’s advice to heart, delivering a fiasco of a performance marred by one rambling tirade after another. A day later, Republican House Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene decided to jump on a three-day-old Loomer post and start a civil war.

Greene lashed out at Loomer on X over an “extremely racist” post she made about Vice President Kamala Harris.

In the Sept. 8 tweet, which quoted a post from Harris celebrating her South Asian heritage, Loomer wrote that if the vice president wins, “the White House will smell like curry and White House speeches will be routed through a call center with the American people’s only feedback being through a customer satisfaction survey at the end of the call that no one will understand.”

Three days later, the day after the debate, Loomer, a 9/11 conspiracy theorist, accompanied Trump to solemn remembrance ceremonies on Wednesday in New York City and Pennsylvania.

Greene, who had previously used homophobic and racial slurs and claimed that being called a “white supremacist” was the same as calling a black person the n-word, decided that the Finally the time to denounce discrimination.

“This is abhorrent and extremely racist,” she said Wednesday, quoting Loomer’s post on X. “It does not represent who we are as Republicans or MAGA. This does not represent President Trump. This type of behavior should never be tolerated.”

Greene called on Loomer to remove the intolerant post.

The combative Loomer responded with a series of rambling remarks, accusing the “raging anti-Semite” Greene of disloyalty and of “acting like a leftist” for attacking her over what she called a joke. (Greene, for anything, has a long history of flirting with anti-Semitic tropes and voted against an anti-Semitism awareness bill in Congress because she argued it “could convict Christians of anti-Semitism for believing the Gospel that says Jesus was delivered over to Herod to be crucified by the Jews.”)

“Laura and I have been friends since 2018,” Greene responded. “I defended and supported her.”

She suggested that Loomer, who has made several failed attempts to run for Congress in Florida, was bitter because she turned down campaign advice from Greene that could have helped her win.

The two staunch MAGA figures left their differences unresolved.

Loomer, a well-known Islamophobe who shared a video last year claiming the 9/11 attacks were an “inside job,” told The Associated Press she was invited to attend the memorial ceremonies with Trump “as a guest.”

Not everyone in Trumpworld agreed with the guest list.
