No. 24 Boston College somehow turns a botched snap into a wide-open 67-yard TD against No. 6 Missouri

No. 24 Boston College scored an improbable touchdown against No. 6 Missouri after QB Thomas Castellanos had to scramble to get the ball.

Castellanos apparently wasn’t ready for a second quarter snap while he was in the shotgun and the ball sailed past him to the left. He ran back to retrieve the ball and after he retrieved it, Reed Harris somehow found himself wide open along the left sideline.

Did Missouri think the game was dead? The Tigers’ entire defense seemed a little slow to react and the secondary lost Harris behind it.

The touchdown officially went for 67 yards, giving Boston College a 14-3 lead over the Tigers. The TD pass was Castellanos’ second of the day after he threw for a fourth-down score on Boston College’s opening drive of the game. The Eagles’ two-score lead was helped by Missouri penalties, as third-down flags on the Tigers’ defense contributed to both of Boston College’s touchdowns.
