JJ Watt reacts to monster start from Arizona Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr.

ARIZONA — Arizona Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. has quickly turned the narrative around his name.

Last week, Harrison, who was selected fourth overall in this year’s draft, caught one pass for four yards, sparking a flurry of debate over whether Harrison would live up to expectations.

In the first quarter of Week 2, Harrison made some notable plays, accounting for 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Future NFL Hall of Famer JJ Watt had something to say about it.

“Did you think everyone said Marvin Harrison Jr. sucked after his first ever NFL game?” he posted on Twitter/X.

“130 yards and 2 TD in the first half today…”

The overreactions were hilarious after Harrison, who played just three preseason games, made his first NFL appearance.

According to the Cardinals’ Mark Dalton, Harrison’s 130 receiving yards on 4 catches with 2 TDs was the most first half receiving yards by a Cardinals rookie since Ernie Jones had 137 yards on 4 catches on 12/10/88 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

“I’ve been thinking a lot,” Harrison said after his debut.

“I definitely thought about it a lot and I think that comes with the reps, thinking less and just going out there and playing. It definitely comes with the reps and it’s something I’m getting better at, but I definitely say I thought about it a lot.”

Well, it looks like the newbie has finally found his feet.
