No formal charges have been filed yet, but Ryan Wesley Routh was reportedly charged with possession of a firearm as a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number during his court appearance in Florida.

A hearing has been scheduled for September 23 and his arraignment is scheduled for September 30.

The Republican presidential candidate previously said this to Fox News Digital, referring to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris calling him a “threat to democracy” (he himself has said he plans to “be a dictator on day one” and discusses tearing up the US Constitution, but oh well…).

“These are people who want to destroy our country,” Trump told Fox.

“It’s called the enemy within. They are the real threat.”

Don Jr. has also taken up this line, and Doug Collins and others have taken to the same network to blame “liberal name-calling” for the threats against Trump, as if no MAGA conservative would ever dream of smearing an opponent.

President Joe Biden this morning, leaving the White House, again expressed relief and thanked God that Trump had not been harmed. He said he had not yet received a full report on yesterday’s events and noted that the much-criticized U.S. Secret Service may need more support.

“I want to make one thing clear: the Service needs more help,” the commander in chief said.

“And I think Congress needs to respond to their needs if they actually need more troops.

“They decide whether they need more staff or not.”

According to CNN, Routh “is wearing dark prison clothing and his hands and feet are shackled.”

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office recently released this new photo of the suspect.
