Tito Jackson‘s three sons, Taj, TJAnd Taryllpaid heartfelt tribute to their father after his unexpected passing.

In a joint statement, accompanied by a carousel of vintage photos of the boys with their father uploaded to the Instagram page of their band 3T, they wrote: “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson.”

“We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being,” they continued. “Some of you may know him as Tito Jackson of the legendary Jackson 5, some may know him as ‘Coach Tito’ or some may know him as ‘Poppa T.’ Regardless, he will be deeply missed.”

The siblings concluded their note by saying, “It will forever be ‘Tito time’ for us. Remember to do what our father always preached, and that is ‘Love each other.’ We love you, Dad,” before signing off with, “You boys.”

The legendary musician’s death was confirmed by his cousin Siggy Jackson. According to Entertainment tonight, who first reported the news, the “Get It Baby” singer died of a heart attack on Sunday, September 15.
