With an Instagram following of over 4.6 million, you’d think money wouldn’t be an issue for Brittany Renner. But the influencer, who was once romantically involved with Mavs star PJ Washington and even has a 3-year-old son with her, has the internet stunned with her latest confession.

Well, it was only a few weeks ago that Renner publicly gave up her old lifestyle and unveiled her new avatar of a woman wearing a hijab. And in her latest Instagram post, she spoke about the aftermath of the huge change, “I have gone through a lot of changes internally. And as a result, my external world has completely collapsed.” She could barely contain herself in the video and laughed at her situation as she detailed the uncertainty in her life, “I have no idea where I’m going to live or how I’m going to take care of my son.”

While Renner is the baby mama to Washington’s child, the couple split three years ago, just months after the child was born. What’s more, the Mavs star has moved on and even married the mother of his second child, Alisah Chanel, last year. Despite claiming to be broke, Brittany expressed her faith in Allah to help her through this adversity, “Allah has moved mountains for me and I trust that this will be no different.”

Renner compared herself to Alice in Wonderland after the main character outgrew her house after eating the cookie, adding: “The façade is fading, alhamdulillah, and I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t want anything that doesn’t have my name on it. Take it away. It served no purpose here.” The model seemed to be on a self-reflective journey and surprisingly had a positive outlook on her financial situation. When the couple split three years ago, rumors began that Washington was paying the model a whopping $200,000 a month in child support. With a career earnings of $34.4 million, he is well-equipped to pay that amount. However, Renner publicly denied receiving the amount from the Mavs star, “A lot of people think I get X amount of child support, and I don’t have to work, and I don’t have to do any of this stuff. But it’s like I take really good care of my child.”

She then also revealed the actual amount of money she receives from PJ “For whatever reason, that number is floating around, but I take care of my child. I get $2,500 a month.” Yes, the number Renner claimed was less than 2% of the rumored figure. Meanwhile, Washington also hinted that the figure may have been overblown, as he posted a cryptic tweet around the same time the rumors emerged, saying: “Stop the (capitalized emoji).” With that in mind, and Renner recently adopting a new lifestyle, there’s a chance she’s telling the truth about her financial situation.
