These days, fast food restaurant “value wars” are all the rage when it comes to getting a discount on your favorite dishes. But like most of those limited-time deals, there’s another bargain you can take advantage of for one day only: National Cheeseburger Day.

In honor of the holiday, or in another effort to limit store foot traffic, fast food and restaurant chains from McDonald’s to Buffalo Wild Wings are offering discounts to their customers on Wednesday, September 18 only.

Here are some of the best deals we found:

Buffalo Wild Wings

Maybe you wanted a reason to skip the chicken wings at Buffalo Wild Wings and try a different entree, so why not a cheeseburger — or two? On September 18, Blazin’ Rewards members who order one burger while dining in or with takeout and delivery orders will get a second one free.

Burger King

If your name includes the word “burger,” you should definitely participate in this national holiday. Burger King’s offer includes a free cheeseburger for every Royal Perks member who makes a purchase of at least $1.

Carl’s Jr.

Another deal geared toward rewards members comes from Carl’s Jr. The chain is treating its loyal members to half-price double cheeseburgers on all orders.

Dairy Queen

It’s not fries to dip in your snowstorm, but Dairy Queen is still offering a salty combo to enjoy at a discount in honor of National Cheeseburger Day. But the deal isn’t limited to Wednesday. From then through Sunday, customers who order online or through the app can enjoy a free Double Original Cheeseburger Signature Stackburger with every $1 or more purchase.

Devil in the box

Jack in the Box is also enjoying a week of holiday deals. Through September 21, Jack Pack members can get select discounts with any purchase of $1 or more. On Wednesday, you can get a free Jumbo Jack Cheeseburger, on Thursday you can get a free Smashed Jack with $20 delivery, on Friday you can get double points on any burger order, and on Saturday the deal is buy one, get one Jr. Jumbo Jack burgers.

Instacart

Even non-foodies are getting in on the fun with discounts. On Instacart, shoppers who choose from the National Cheeseburger Day product collection get $10 off their $20 purchase. The collection includes all the burger must-haves, from mayo and cheese to lettuce and buns.

McDonald’s

McDonald’s $5 Value Meal seemed to spark the “value wars” craze, and now it’s doubling down on the savings with a $0.50 double cheeseburger on Wednesdays. The offer is different than the choice between a McChicken or McDouble in the Value Meal, as a double cheeseburger comes with an extra slice of cheese.

Sonic

The chain, which recently launched its “Fun.99” menu, is offering quarter-pound double cheeseburgers for just $1.99 on National Cheeseburger Day. That’s the same price as its “Value Wars” menu item.

Wendy’s

Don’t put that money in the piggy bank just yet. Wendy’s is selling Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers for just 1 cent in honor of National Cheeseburger Day for every customer who makes an additional purchase. The deal lasts through September 22.

White Castle

You don’t have to say “cheese” when ordering a cheeseburger online, but White Castle makes sure you do. In the app, customers can get buy-one, get-one Cheese Sliders by entering the code “SAYCHEESE.”
