Message from Hays

According to the K-State Agricultural Research Center south of the city, an overnight storm system dropped 0.41 inches of rain in Hays from Tuesday into early Wednesday morning.

The Eagle Media Center, Hall 2300, got 0.37 inches.

So far in September, Hays has received 0.67 inches of rain. The cumulative average for the entire month is 2.24 inches.

So far this year, 19.70 inches of moisture have been measured in Hays, slightly below the yearly average of 19.84 inches in late September.

According to the weather forecast for the next three days, there is a chance of rain this weekend, with cooler temperatures during the day.
