    It’s been 14 years since Colorado and Baylor played a football game against each other.

    The Buffaloes and Bears play their Big 12 opener in front of a national TV audience. And it was certainly a bull’s-eye. A last-second Hail Mary by Shedeur Sanders to send the game to OT and then a forced fumble by Travis Hunter to win sealed Colorado’s game in.

    It looked like this match would go into double overtime.

    Until Travis Hunter stole the ball from Baylor running back Dominic Richardson on the goal line.

    The Buffs just pulled off one of the most improbable comebacks ever.

    Micah Welch’s second touchdown of the night gave Colorado the lead in overtime.

    If the Buffs can get a defensive stop, they will mount an improbable comeback.

    Colorado 38, Baylor 31. End of the first OT.

    It’s a Folsom Field wonder.

    Shedeur Sanders connected with LaJohntay Wester for a 44-yard touchdown on the final play of regulation time.

    We’re going into overtime.

    Baylor capped an eight-play, 61-yard drive with a 24-yard touchdown catch by Hal Presley.

    Travis Hunter had two catches for 77 yards during Colorado’s six-play, 80-yard touchdown drive late in the third quarter.

    Micah Welch fired the ball in from two yards out to equalize.

    It had yet to be reviewed, but Omarion Miller’s spectacular 58-yard catch and run for a touchdown was upheld by officials.

    Colorado needed that score before halftime after trailing by two scores.

    Baylor 24, Colorado 17. With 43 seconds left in the first half.

    Baylor quarterback Sawyer Robertson scored a 45-yard rushing touchdown on 4th and 2, giving the Bears a two-score lead.

    Colorado gets the ball first in the second half, but has to score before halftime.

    It was a draw of about 13 seconds.

    Jamaal Bell returned a kickoff 100 yards for a Baylor touchdown, giving the Bears the lead again.

    A 10-play, 55-yard drive was capped off with a 43-yard field goal by Alejandro Mata.

    Baylor quarterback Sawyer Robertson threw a beautiful 30-yard touchdown pass to Monaray Baldwin, who made a diving grab in the end zone. The scoring play capped a seven-play, 75-yard drive by the Bears.

    Shedeur Sanders has yet to throw an incompletion (6-for-6) and has hit five different receivers.

    Baylor begins the second quarter near midfield.

    Travis Hunter had a 24-yard reception on third down and later in the drive drew a defensive pass interference in the end zone. On the next play, Shedeur Sanders scored a rushing touchdown from two yards out.

    It was Colorado’s first touchdown on the ground this season.

    Colorado 7, Baylor 3. 1:56 left in the first quarter.

    A 54-yard punt return brought Baylor inside the Colorado 40-yard line to begin their second drive, but the Buffs defense held firm and forced a 32-yard field goal.

    Unless Baylor can run at will, its quarterback situation puts it at a huge disadvantage in this matchup, especially with Shedeur Sanders on the other side. The momentum from last week’s win and a homecoming atmosphere give Colorado the edge.

    According to BetMGM’s college football odds, Colorado is a 1-point favorite to beat Baylor on Saturday morning.

    Colorado will be without running back Dallan Hayden on Saturday. The Ohio State transfer led the Buffs in rushing before missing the Week 3 win over Colorado State. He is expected to return next week for UCF, but Arkansas transfer Isaiah Augustave and true freshman Micah Welch will lead Colorado’s backfield against Baylor.
