Love’s inactivity sets the stage for an intriguing game for Willis, though he hadn’t considered any revenge earlier in the week against Tennessee.

Willis was the Packers’ quarterback, leading them to a Week 2 win over the Indianapolis Colts. This feat is all the more impressive because he was traded to Green Bay from the Titans on August 26, just a few weeks before he took over the starting job.

Willis, a 2022 third-round pick, was seen as a hopeful franchise QB for the Titans, but he struggled in his two seasons with Tennessee. For Green Bay, however, Willis had what was likely his career-best performance, completing 12 of 14 passes for 122 yards, his first NFL touchdown pass and no interceptions.

Love will have to wait another week, as Willis returns to Nashville for at least one more game as the Packers’ starter.
