Message from Jaquan Brisker to Bears fans after disheartening Week 3 loss

The Chicago Bears (1-2) suffered a disappointing 21-16 loss to the Indianapolis Colts (1-2), which was all the more frustrating since there were chances to win the game.

The Bears’ offense once again struggled to find a rhythm — or a run game, for that matter, against the worst run defense in the NFL. Meanwhile, the defense did a good job of containing quarterback Anthony Richardson — who threw two interceptions and nearly had a turnover that the referees called — but struggled to contain running back Jonathan Taylor, who rushed for 110 yards.

Naturally, Bears fans were frustrated with this loss, especially when it came to the coaches. Head coach Matt Eberflus continues to struggle with game management, while offensive coordinator Shane Waldron, hand-picked by Eberflus, once again struggled with calling the play.

But safety Jaquan Brisker, who has been in Chicago since Eberflus’ first season, shared some encouraging words with Bears fans on X (formerly Twitter).

“It will be okay. #Trust,” Brisker wrote.

His teammate, veteran safety Kevin Byard, also got involved.

“Tough loss, but I still believe in this team. #BearDown,” he wrote.

After three weeks, the Bears are 1-2 with a lot of questions. But the good news is that we are only three games into a 17-game season with a number of winnable games on the schedule. Chicago has a chance to turn things around, and it appears the players are confident that they can do so.
