Saints RB Alvin Kamara (hip/ribs), WR Chris Olave (hamstring) both expected to play against Falcons

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara (hip/ribs) and wide receiver Chris Olave (hamstring) are both expected to play Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. Kamara and Olave are officially active.

Kamara appeared on the injury report for the first time this season and missed Wednesday’s practice due to the injuries. He was upgraded to limited participation the next two days and had questionable qualification for the weekend, but ultimately the injuries won’t keep him off the field in Atlanta.

Kamara got off to a hot start to the season as a key part of the Saints’ initial offensive explosion and currently ranks fourth in the league in rushing yards with 285. He had 115 yards and three touchdowns on the ground in the dominant week of New Orleans. 2 win over the Cowboys.

Olave had joined Kamara as questionable after injuring his hamstring during Friday’s practice, and will now also be available along with Kamara for the Week 4 matchup against an NFC South foe.

So far this season, Olave has 12 catches for 178 yards, both team highs, and the past two weeks have 81 and 86 yards, respectively.

New Orleans (2-1) and Atlanta (1-2) kick off Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
