Dan Campbell knows how to give a Lions locker room speech

Man, Dan Campbell sure knows how to light the Detroit Lions on fire.

Following the team’s Monday Night Football victory over the Seattle Seahawks, 42-29, the head coach delivered another memorable locker room speech that will get everyone watching excited.

In the video posted to the Lions’ social media accounts, Campbell, kneeling in the locker room in a starting position, stands up and says, “Hey man. It feels good to win again, doesn’t it?

“Defense, come out and stick it to them. Get it right back and now all of a sudden we’re standing up like we wanted to start the game,” he said. “And it just went back and forth that way. That really happened, man.

“Insult, we need you. You came forward.”

Then Campbell selected safety Kerby Joseph for the game-tying interception of Seattle quarterback Geno Smith in the end zone in the fourth quarter.

“Defense, when we needed it, we needed a stop,” Campbell said. “Kerb, you come up with a big play. Good teams complement each other, man.”

“I’m proud of you,” Campbell told the team in the locker room. “That’s a good win. That’s a damn good win.”

Campbell then talks about how the game takes it one game at a time, one win at a time, with three in hand.

“We’re back to three, man,” Campbell said. “And you don’t worry about what anyone else does. You don’t look across the street. Who won, how much. Who will they play next?

“Man, you just win the one in front of you and then you just start setting them up and teeing off the next one. That’s what you do,” he said. “That’s a good win, gentlemen.”

Campbell handed out three game balls:

  • Offensive coordinator Ben Johnson
  • Wide receiver Jameson Williams
  • Safety Kerby Joseph

Of Joseph, Campbell said: “I already mentioned it, man. You’re talking about finishing a game, man. We don’t have to deal with anything else. Onside kick, getting back on the field. Kerby, that’s a great job .” .”

Joseph said, “I just want to thank God, bruh. And I love you guys. I couldn’t do this without you, man.”

“We’ll see you tomorrow,” Campbell said. “Break it down. Break it down.”

“Family on Three,” Joseph said.

‘A. Two. Three,” the entire locker room said. “Family.”

Family indeed.
