Oregon 31, Michigan State 7: The Spartans are dominated almost from start to finish as Oregon records nearly 500 yards of total offense and easily defeats Michigan State for its third straight loss.

4th quarter

0:25: Tommy Schuster drives Michigan State 45 yards on his final drive to set up a 42-yard Jonathan Kim field goal and make the final score look a little better. Oregon 31, Michigan State 10

8:27: Michigan State gets on the board with a 7-play, 75-yard drive. Aidan Chiles completes a 35-yard pass to Montorie Foster and a pair of passes to Jack Velling and Michigan State won’t be left out here. Oregon 31, Michigan State 7

11:18: Still up? Oregon records a touchdown with a drive that takes 8:04. If you are interested in betting on this game, that was an important score for you. Oregon 31, Michigan State 0

3rd quarter

4:25: More mistakes: Nick Marsh has to fall on a clumsy handoff for a loss of six, and after a nice run from Aidan Chiles, the Spartans have a delay of game on third down and can’t make the conversion as they punt again. Oregon 24, Michigan State 0

6:49: Four consecutive scoring drives for Oregon as the Ducks make a field goal. Dillon Gabriel now throws the ball over 200 yards, but missed a potential touchdown throw before the field goal. Oregon 24, Michigan State 0

10:42: Michigan State passes midfield on the first drive of the second half, but then stalls. An Aidan Chiles sack and a Jaron Glover drop on what would have been a nice downfield completion forced the fifth punt of the day for the Spartans. Oregon 21, Michigan State 0

2nd quarter

0:05: Oregon returns to its passing game in the two-minute drill as Dillon Gabriel marches the Ducks 73 yards down the field and throws a touchdown pass just before halftime to make it a three-touchdown game. Outside of the first drive, Michigan State has been thoroughly outplayed. Oregon 21, Michigan State 0

1:53: Michigan State is assessed an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty – the second of the half – to start the drive on 1st and 23. MSU’s offense can’t overcome that, and after an Aidan Chiles sack on third down, the Spartans are once again on the punting. Oregon 14, Michigan State 0

6:20: Oregon continues to have its way with Michigan State on the ground. The Ducks record a 55-yard touchdown drive with no passing attempts and now lead the rushing column 174-5. Oregon 14, Michigan State 0

9:11: Michigan State gets out of its own end zone, but not much further, and Oregon gets the ball with 55 yards to go for a score. Oregon 7, Michigan State 0

11:17: Michigan State ends a second Oregon drive in the end zone with an interception, this time by Charles Brantley. The Spartans trail by 230-67 total yards, but are only one touchdown behind thanks to some timely moves by the defense. Oregon 7, Michigan State 0

2:20 PM: Michigan State can’t get its run game going; it now has three rush yards on nine carries while going 3-and-out for a second straight drive. Oregon 7, Michigan State 0

1st quarter

0:22: Oregon marches 75 yards for the game’s opening score. The Ducks’ Traeshon Holden recorded a 37-yard catch while on the ground and Oregon surpassed 100 rushing yards before the end of the first quarter. Oregon 7, Michigan State 0

3:52: Former Michigan State DL Derrick Harmon records an 11-yard sack on first down and the Spartans are unable to recover on a 3-and-out on their second offensive drive. Michigan State 0, Oregon 0

6:14: Michigan State answers the goal line turnover with a goal line takeaway of its own. Malik Spencer steps in front of a Dillon Gabriel pass to pick it off in the end zone and end an Oregon scoring threat. MSU has held Gabriel to 2-of-7 for 10 yards with a pick. Michigan State 0, Oregon 0

10:09: Michigan State’s first offense is emblematic of this season. The Spartans have a beautiful 44-yard completion on fourth down to reach the Oregon 2-yard line, but Aidan Chiles fumbles toward the goal line and Oregon gets the ball at the 20. Michigan State 0, Oregon 0

2:06 PM: Oregon starts the game with a deep shot to test the Spartans’ secondary. MSU may have gotten away with a little bit of contact from Malik Spencer, but it’s incomplete. Michigan State follows that up with a stuffed run and a quarterback hit on third down to force a key early kick. Michigan State 0, Oregon 0

Foreplay: The injury news is good for this one. Starting left tackle Stanton Ramil and wide receiver Nick Marsh are both not listed on the injury report. Both were listed as doubtful last week; Ramil didn’t play and Marsh was limited.
