    Kids haven’t even put on their costumes yet for a night of trick-or-treating, and Spirit Halloween is already gearing up for the holidays.

    The temporary retail chain reliably pops up in hundreds of vacant storefronts across the country every year to sell creepy house decor, costumes, and towering animatronic outdoor decorations. But this year, the Spencer Gifts chain, which opened its first pop-up store in the Bay Area in 1983, will stick around a little longer.

    The company has unveiled plans to open ten Spirit Christmas stores in the North East soon.

    “Discover thousands of Christmas stockings, Christmas clothes, fun gifts, unique decorations, plus all the special accessories to create an unforgettable Christmas,” Spirit Christmas advertises on its official webpage.

    Where will the Spirit Christmas stores be located?

    Spirit Christmas will soon take over strip centers and malls in New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania – some of which are already Spirit Halloween locations.

    What you need to know about the Spirit Christmas stores

    In addition to the plethora of holiday items, the Spirit Christmas website also promotes free family photos with Santa himself. The photo opps are already available to book.

    The website does not list opening dates for the locations. USA TODAY reached out to Spirit Halloween for more information about the holiday stores.

    The company confirmed to People magazine that the Mays Landing, New Jersey store will open on October 18, while the other nine locations will open in early November.
