Florida Lt. Dan, daughter of Joseph Malinowski, lashes out at influencers after Hurricane Milton

The concerned daughter of the viral one-legged hurricane leftover ‘Lieutenant Dan’ has railed against the influencers and donors who gave her father money, claiming they enabled his drug use and put him in an ‘early grave’.

Ashley Ann Malinowski called for a halt to all funds going to her father Joseph Malinowski, who gained national attention for refusing to leave his boat in Tampa ahead of Hurricane Milton.

The sailor, who is missing the lower part of his leg from the shin down, was nicknamed “Lieutenant Dan” because of his resemblance to Gary Sinise’s character from the 1994 film “Forrest Gump.”

“Lieutenant Dan was doing just fine without all that money,” Ann Malinowski said in a profanity-laden rant on TikTok on Friday.

“You TikTok famous people, you all blow him up and he’ll be dead before he can enjoy that boat. Look at him after y’all got him and now he’s high as f–k on all these videos.

“Lieutenant Dan” was featured on the Weather Channel, CNN and on a livestream with TikTokker “Tampa” Terrence Concannon before the hurricane made landfall in Florida on Wednesday.

The defiant sailor held onto his sailboat and dared Hurricane Helene to “come get me” during his interview on Concannon’s TikTok on September 25, which has been viewed more than 2.1 million times.

Concannon, 23, famously continued to share updates about his new friend during the storm, easily reaching millions of views for each post.

Concannon later set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for Malinowski to purchase a larger ship, which has raised more than $46,000, calling him “the kindest soul” who is “always ready to lend a hand to help’.

Malinowski rode out Hurricane Milton from his boat, where he lives, defying claims by Tampa Mayor Jane Castor that he had gone to a shelter.

He was discovered in his boat, tied to a dock in Tampa Bay.

Twitch streamer Adin Rossn later offered Malinowski a deal with the streaming platform Kick and to buy a new boat between $50,000 and $100,000.

The concerned daughter revealed that she has struggled with her father’s safety from drugs over the past decade.

“Is it just weed? Is it just weeds? Yes, I am his daughter and I had to keep an eye on that man for ten years to make sure he is still alive. Now he’s going to get all this and it’s probably going to kill him.”

Malinowski said she tries not to spend “a lot of energy” caring for her father, other than making sure “he’s still alive.”

“You’re all going to put him in the grave early for making him famous and giving him this money,” she said, fighting back tears.

Malinowski claimed the influencers used her father to boost their social media channels and “don’t know what they’re doing” when it comes to helping the elder Malinowski.

‘Nobody really cares about him either. You’re just using it to make it famous, to make yourselves more famous, to look good, but no one cares.”

He has made dozens of arrests in North Carolina and Florida dating back to at least 2006, according to court records seen by The Post.

Many of the charges involve traffic violations or arrests for failing to appear in court, but he has also been arrested for everything from drug possession to attempted burglary to aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
