Oklahoma quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. is really struggling against Texas’ monstrous Front 7.

Oklahoma’s freshman QB has been a lifelong running back and sits at 6/10 passing for 51 yards, a mark that simply won’t cut it against the No. 1 team in the country. The performance was so disappointing that some fans are calling for the Sooners to reinstate Jackson Arnold after halftime.

Yes, the same Jackson Arnold who was benched during the Tennessee game due to his extremely poor play against another top-tier defense.

It seemed surprising that the Sooners decided to pull Arnold so quickly and haven’t had a chance yet, as Hawkins has since stepped up. But folks, that’s what happens when you fail to protect the football over and over again. Not to mention that Arnold going into this game against this defense could completely destroy whatever confidence he has left.
