After surviving a scare on Friday night, Nebraska volleyball closes out the weekend against Rutgers.

The Huskers fell behind 2-1 to No. 10 Purdue on Friday but rallied to pull away the final two sets for their twelfth straight victory.

If the Scarlet Knights want to ease the upset, they have some history to make in Lincoln. They’ve only beaten the Huskers once in fifteen matchups, and that was in 1978, before rally scoring even started in college volleyball. Since 2014, it has been 14 straight for the Big Red.

The Huskers look to wrap up their three-game homestand before heading east for two games. Historically, they should have no problem beating Rutgers. While one of the best passing teams in the conference at 1.77 aces per set, Nebraska is one of the best passing teams in the country.

The Huskers are simply too well-rounded to leave an opening for an opponent, especially at home, but they can never get too confident in the Big Ten. It’s a dogfight every match.
