Donald Trump and Kamala Harris face off over a family feud

Donald Trump may have refused to have a second debate with Kamala Harris, but Saturday evening live had another idea with which they would compete again before the elections.

Maya Rudolph’s Harris and James Austin Johnson’s Trump met again on NBC’s sketch comedy show, but this time it was on the Family feud stage with Kenan Thompson’s Steve Harvey.

“I’m Steve Harvey and I’ve hosted every show on TV for the last 20 years as my alibi for those Diddy parties,” says Harvey. “Tonight we have two political rivals.”

He then introduced the Democratic side, including Harris (Rudolph), Tim Walz (Jim Gaffigan), Joe Biden (Dana Carvey) and Douglas Emhoff (Andy Samberg). On the Republican side it was Trump (Johnson), JD Vance (Bowen Yang), Donald Trump Jr. (Mikey Day) and a missing Melania Trump.

‘It’s great to be here, Steve. I love seeing a man get paid millions of dollars for his black job,” Harris said after being introduced by the host, who also pointed out her total media blitz this week, booking a number of high-profile interviews. “It’s been a great week. I continued Howard Stern to reach the horny taxi drivers. I continued The view for the horny moms and I also went to the podcast Call her daddy because I have a message for young women: you have to go to the polls if you want the government to come out of your ballot box.”

Thompson’s Harvey later came over to introduce the participants on the Republican side, where he wondered where Melania Trump was. “It’s so strange,” Trump says. “I could have sworn she was standing right next to me about two years ago.”

They finally move on to the game, with the first question being “something you keep in your glove compartment.”

“Steve, look, I grew up in a middle-class family. My mother raised my sister and me, okay. She worked hard and saved and we also had a second mother,” says Harris as Harvey tries to get her back on track: “Okay, did that mother have a glove on her side?”

Rudolph’s Harris finally answered the question by saying, “Oh, a Glock, Steve. A big old Glock. And the Democrats gained control of the Family feud plate.

Samberg’s Emhoff was next and somehow gave their team another point, saying: “I can’t top that. It was so perfect. I’m going for the same answer. Steve, a Glock.” But then things went downhill with the answers from Gaffigan’s Walz and Carvey’s Biden.

The Republicans then had the opportunity to steal, with Harvey going to Trump first. “Well, Steve, I’ve never sat in the front seat of a car before, so this question is very unfair,” the former president says before launching into a lengthy rant.

Thompson’s Harvey eventually shouts, “Show me dementia,” but that wasn’t one of the answers on the board, so the Democrats won the game.

Ariana Grande returned to Studio 8H to host on Saturday SNL for the second time after her hosting debut in 2016. She was also the musical guest on Josh Brolin’s episode last season. Stevie Nicks was the musical guest this week.

The Bad star began her monologue by emphasizing that she was “just a host. I’m not going to make this about me. I’m just going to have fun, take it easy and, yeah, I’m just going to take it easy.

But Grande didn’t keep it quiet and burst into song, including impressions of Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and Gwen Stefani. Yang also joined her on stage at one point, dressed in a classic Wizard of Oz Glinda’s costume. “Bowen, didn’t anyone tell you that? We cut the Bad sketch,” says Grande.

“The other last thing I’m not going to do is bring out some hot dancers to do crazy high kicks,” Grande sings as the dancers join her on stage. The “We Can’t Be Friends” artist continues to flex her vocals, singing, “If you’re looking for a diva, don’t look here.” Because tonight I’m going to keep it quiet.”
