College football top 25 rankings for week 8: Texas, Oregon and Penn State lead the remaining undefeated teams

There are a total of 11 undefeated teams remaining as the 2024 college football team enters the second half.

This includes eight Power 4 schools. Texas (6-0) solidified its spot at No. 1 in Week 7 with a 34-3 win against Oklahoma. The Longhorns are the only undefeated team left in the SEC, and that record will be tested in Week 5 against Georgia.

The Big Ten has locked up the next two spots after an exciting weekend on the West Coast. Oregon (6-0) defeated Ohio State 32-31 in a battle of undefeated teams. Penn State (6-0) defeated USC 33-30, moving the Nittany Lions to No. 3.
