UK Wildcats News: Off to Florida after embarrassing loss to Vanderbilt

Good morning on this gloomy Sunday.

Kentucky puts together another one of the worst performances of the Mark Stoops era in an embarrassing 20-13 home loss to Vanderbilt, marking just a 2-10 SEC record in Kentucky’s last twelve conference games. This is also the second game this season in which the ‘worst performance of the Mark Stoops era’ has been declared.

After raising the bar nine years in a row for the Kentucky Wildcats football program from 2013 to 2021, the program has been in rapid decline since week five of the 2022 season, and now it appears to be in complete freefall after a of the biggest wins in program history.

Kentucky isn’t just losing these games; they are ashamed. Embarrassed by their opponents and embarrassing themselves with ridiculous penalties, far too many coaching errors to end halves and even matches. It looks like a Joker Phillips-esque football team in 2012.

Kentucky is running out of time to save their season.
