Penn State lands in BSD’s top three

Penn State’s 33-30 overtime win against USC, combined with Ohio State’s 32-31 loss to Oregon, has the Nittany Lions ranked third in the Associated Press and in the Coaches Poll.

The Big Ten teams joining the Nittany Lions are once again Oregon (to 2nd), Ohio State (down two spots to 4th in the AP, three spots to 5th in Coaches), Indiana (to 16th in AP and 18th in Coaches), Illinois (21st in Coaches, 22nd in AP), Michigan (22nd in Coaches, 24th in AP) and newcomer Nebraska, which ranks 25th in the Coaches rankings. Penn State has a week off before traveling to Madison to face Wisconsin on Oct. 26.
