NFL fans roast Cowboys after terrible first half against Lions

The Dallas Cowboys were back at AT&T Stadium in Week 6 against the Detroit Lions, looking for their first home win of the season. They didn’t get off to a very good start.

At the end of the first half of Sunday’s showdown, the Cowboys trailed by 21 while the Lions jumped out to a 27-6 lead.

It was a putrid spectacle on both sides of the ball. Dak Prescott threw a nasty interception in the end zone for the second week in a row. Meanwhile, the rushing attack of Rico Dowdle, Ezekiel Elliott and even CeeDee Lamb mustered just 14 yards during the first half.

Jared Goff and Co. also had their way with Dallas’ defense. Just about everything they drew worked seamlessly, including a breathtaking flea flicker that resulted in a 52-yard touchdown for Sam LaPorta. David Montgomery also hit a pair of touchdowns on the ground as the Cowboys simply had no answers.

After a dismal display in the first half, on owner Jerry Jones’ birthday no less, football fans couldn’t resist making some jokes at the Cowboys’ expense.
