Despite the widespread disruption, Reddit has yet to comment on the situation.

Recently, a Reddit user named TGVMinecraftMap reported encountering the “Request was blocked due to network policy” error while trying to sign in. The user explained that they were able to log in at old.reddit.com and navigate the site when logged in, but when they logged out they received the error message.

They shared a screenshot of the issue, which also suggested alternative login methods. In their post, they noted that the problem only occurred in Firefox, and started just minutes before it was posted. Despite restarting, clearing browser data and no VPN or extensions, the problem persisted. However, they could still access Reddit via Safari without logging in.

Other users quickly responded in the comments saying they were experiencing the same problem. One user commented: ‘Wait a minute, this is new. I experience the same thing.”
