CORBIN, Ky. (FOX 56) – A winning Powerball ticket was sold in Corbin on Saturday.

The Kentucky Lottery said the ticket, sold at Pilot Travel Center in Corbin, is worth $500,000 and is the second “high-tier” Powerball Double Play ticket sold in Kentucky in 2024.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Pilot Travel Center, 249 West Cumberland Gap Parkway, Corbin, KY, 40701.

The winning ticket matched all five white balls but not the Powerball® in the second Double Play drawing, winning the second Double Play prize of $500,000.

The Double Play drawing takes place immediately after the Powerball drawing. Saturday night’s winning Powerball Double Play numbers were 18–22–32–41–49 Powerball 24.

Doubles is a newer feature for players, added in November 2023 and made available for online play earlier this year.

“The Kentucky Lottery is always looking for new and exciting ways to engage our loyal players,” said Mary Harville, president and CEO of Kentucky Lottery. “Adding Double Play as an option to Powerball has really paid off for our players, with Kentucky retailers now selling two Powerball Double Play winning tickets, less than a year since we added this feature.”

The Kentucky Lottery made history in June 2024 when it became only the third state to sell a $10 million Powerball Double Play ticket since 2001, when the feature was added to the game by Powerball officials. A Kentucky resident, who wished to remain anonymous, came forward in August with the winning $10 million Powerball Double Play ticket from the June 24, 2024 drawing.

The current Powerball jackpot is estimated at $388 million. The next draw will take place on Monday at 11pm.

The Kentucky Lottery advises winners to:

• Sign the back of their tickets.

• Keep them in a safe location.

• Claim their prize within 180 days from the date of the drawing.

Winners must pick up their prizes at the lottery headquarters at 1011 W. Main St. in Louisville. Winners must contact the lottery at 1-877-789-4532 to schedule an appointment to claim their prize.
