A rock star has been injured in an early morning shooting in Las Vegas.

Jake E. Lee was shot multiple times during a street shooting in Las Vegas, Lee’s management confirmed Tuesday morning.

Lee, a Las Vegas resident, “is fully conscious and doing well in the intensive care unit of a Las Vegas hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery,” the musicians’ representatives said in a statement.

The statement said the incident was “completely random.”

No further details are being provided as the incident is being reported. Representatives have stated that Lee and his family ask the public to respect his privacy.

Lee has performed with Ozzy Osbourne and Badlands and his most recent project, Red Dragon Cartel. The latter band has served as his comeback project after rarely making public appearances over the past twenty years.

According to a February story in the rock pub Loudersound, Lee had overcome the deaths of his parents, his first wife and singer Ray Gillen.

At the age of 67, Lee has returned to performing with Red Dragon Cartel. The band was co-founded by Vegas musician and studio operator Ronnie Mancuso and British-born singer Darren James Smith. At the height of his fame in the mid-’80s, Lee had played with Osbourne to 60,000 fans at the ‘Monsters of Rock’ festival.
