Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Denver Nuggets

The Oklahoma City Thunder are in Denver to take on the Nuggets for a road game that mimics how the team opens their regular season. They had a four-day break and now head to Denver to return to action and continue preparing for the regular season.

The club has just two preseason games left before they begin their regular season campaign. With the Thunder entering the new season with so much anticipation, a good start can be a huge boost to team morale.

Playing the Nuggets in the preseason gives the team a good opportunity to sharpen their fitness and matches in order to start the new season strong.

Thunder:

Jaylin Williams, out (knee)

Kenrich Williams, out (knee)

Nikola Topic, off (knee)

Gold Nuggets:

Nikola Jokić, out

Russell Westbrook, out

Jamal Murray, out (knee)

Peyton Watson, questionable (hamstring)

DeAndre Jordan, questionable (rest)

DaRon Holmes II, out (Achilles tendon)

Denver will be shorthanded. They won’t roll into this game completely healthy. Nuggets head coach Mike Malone has highlighted his team and explained the importance of conditioning.

The Thunder will have to make do at least without the three injured players. Furthermore, no rested players have been announced yet, if any. Be sure to check back for an update on the starters and who will be available.

The spread between both teams is small. The Thunder, on the road, are a 3.5-point favorite over the Nuggets. However, the preseason odds don’t mean much. How many different players play is far from known, and the injury report is usually only revealed just before the match.

With the Nuggets likely to rest a number of players, and the Thunder not yet revealing whether or not they will, it stands to reason that Oklahoma City is the favorite.
