Model Mayowa Nicholas walked the Victoria’s Secret runway for the first time in 2018 and told TODAY.com what it feels like to return in 2024.

“I think it’s different because, honestly, as you can see, the energy of the room is all about celebrating women,” she said as she got her hair and makeup done Tuesday morning. “I feel like this is the year for women, and it feels good. Everyone comes from different backgrounds and ethnicities, and we all come together to make this great show. It’s different from the shows before.”

Nicholas shared her reaction when she found out she had been cast on the show again this year.

“I found out in March or April, and I remember my agent was the one who told me. I was with my mom and we were holding hands and just yelling, ‘You’re going to be on the show!’ ‘” she recalled. ‘That was such an exciting moment, and I mean, for my country too. I’m from Nigeria and they all go to watch, even though it gets so late, they all stay up to watch. I. So it’s great.”

Nicholas shared her favorite memory from the 2018 fashion show.

“That was the first time I met Adriana (Lima), so that was like, oh my god, I always watched the old Victoria’s Secret shows and saw her in person… So that was absolutely amazing.

“First of all, I’m excited about walking with wings. This is my first time walking with wings, so I’m so excited,” Nicholas said. “I’m excited to see Tyra (Banks) because, oh my god, it’s like no one’s seen her – this is a comeback! So I’m so excited to see her, I’m excited about everything, honestly. “

As for her outfit, Nicholas shared as many details as possible.

“My outfit is very rock star-like. I have a bodysuit with Swarovski embellishments, so it’s going to be a lot of diamonds and black — like a black diamond, literally.”
